AD(H)PKD PATIENT REGISTER

Tolvaptan was the first drug to be approved for the treatment of ADPKD in summer 2015 - a real innovation. Nevertheless, many questions remain about therapeutic treatment with Tolvaptan. Which patients benefit most? What side effects occur? What is the long-term effectiveness? In order to answer these and many other questions, the German ADPKD Tolvaptan Registry, also known as the AD(H)PKD Registry, was established. Through participation in the Tolvaptan Registry you too can help to increase our understanding of ADPKD and treatment with Tolvaptan. Please find more information here.

FOCUS TREATMENT OF ADPKD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF COLOGNE

Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, also known as ADPKD, is a mostly hereditary disease that slowly leads to loss of kidney function. Tolvaptan was recently approved as the first specific therapy for ADPKD. Do you have questions about the treatment and diagnosis of ADPKD? On our Webseite „Diagnostics and therapy of ADPKD“ you can find further information and contact details for making an appointment.

ADPKD RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF COLOGNE

The international team at our research laboratory "Nephrolab Cologne" is working to uncover the mechanisms of ADPKD and to better understand the effects of Tolvaptan on signalling pathways in kidney cells. For this purpose we use ADPKD models in which we can analyse the effect of Tolvaptan. On our research pages you can find information on current projects and our team.
